Honoring Service Through the New York City SEAL Swim
The NYC SEAL Swim is the official veteran-led New York City SEAL Swim, taking place August 15, 2026, in the Hudson River and New York Harbor. The event honors Navy SEALs, veterans, first responders, Gold Star families, and the communities who continue to support those connected to service and sacrifice.
This is more than a swim. It is a public act of remembrance, respect, unity, and commitment.
A Mission Rooted in Service
The New York City SEAL Swim brings together people who understand the weight of service. Navy SEALs, veterans, first responders, and military families all represent courage, sacrifice, discipline, and resilience.
By gathering in New York Harbor, the Official NYC SEAL Swim creates a visible moment of unity for those who serve and those who stand beside them.
Honoring Navy SEALs and Veterans
The event has a direct connection to the Navy SEAL community and the broader veteran community. It recognizes the physical, mental, and emotional demands of service while supporting the transition and leadership needs that often continue long after active duty ends.
Through Beyond the Brotherhood, the NYC SEAL Swim helps raise awareness and support for veterans as they move into new stages of life, family, work, leadership, and purpose.
Recognizing First Responders
First responders are an important part of the NYC SEAL Swim mission. Like military service members, first responders operate in environments that require courage, preparation, teamwork, and sacrifice.
Their presence in the event reflects a shared commitment to protecting others and serving something larger than oneself.
Standing With Gold Star Families
Gold Star families hold a sacred place in the meaning of the NYC SEAL Swim. Their sacrifice represents the deepest cost of service.
The event honors their loved ones and recognizes the families who continue to carry their legacy forward.
Why New York Harbor Matters
The New York City SEAL Swim takes place near some of America’s most powerful symbols, including the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island. These landmarks add meaning to the mission by connecting the event to freedom, service, national identity, and remembrance.
The Hudson River and New York Harbor create a setting that is both physically demanding and symbolically powerful.
